My vision for Growables began when my oldest daughter was a baby. I was amazed how quickly she grew and how often I needed to buy new clothes. As much as I loved to shop for unique new baby clothes, what I really wanted was for the clothes I had already bought and loved to fit my baby girl for longer.
Like many moms, I started buying clothing a size larger than my daughter was currently wearing, then rolling up the sleeves and pant cuffs. Unfortunately she often looked like a ragamuffin in baggy clothes with cuffs rolling out as she crawled and later ran around playing. In the midst of this, I had an inspiration:
Kids grow so quickly.
What if their clothes grew right along with them AND looked good all the while?
So I set out to design unique children's clothes that would do just that.

Many designs are also reversible, adding versatility by giving you 2 or more stylish outfits for the price of 1! With coordinating reversible pieces, you can mix and match for a variety of unique looks. Reversible clothes are also a bonus when packing light for trips or when handling spills while you are out--simply flip over the garment and, voila, a new clean outfit!
I like to think of my product mission as providing customers with unique quality children's clothing that have added versatility and value. I also have a corporate mission to give back to the community in support of children and families in need. And I am committed to supporting the local economy by employing domestic workers and services. All Growables garments are proudly made in the USA, custom sewn by me or one of my seamstresses in a smoke-free environment.
Because Growables unique children's clothing can be adjusted and expanded as a child grows, our sizes can actually span several sizes of traditional children's clothes. Please refer to our size chart and remember that you do not need to "size-up" when purchasing because we've built plenty of flexibility into our garments. We can also provide a gift certificate if you are not certain of the correct size for a gift.
